The New York Times published an analysis of the 2008 election on Thursday,
November 6, with the title "A Once-United G.O.P. Emerges, in Identity Crisis.
The author is Sam Tanenhaus. The truth is that there is no identity crisis here,
but among the many reasons which contributed to the Republican defeat, IDENTITY
THEFT by rival stands out.
This is the third time since 1992 that G.O.P. became the victim of identity
theft by its rival for which I have come up with a suitable acronym D.O.P. (dirty old politics). In other words, the DEMOCRAT-IC PARTY (D.O.P.) cannot win the presidency if they
reveal their real identity - TAX INCREASE and MORE GOVERNMENT for a country that
has, according to the Census Bureau, 23,000,000 people working for government.
This is almost 50% above what a civilized, technologically advanced nation like
the United States needs or can afford. And this is why those who promise more
government can get votes only from those who completely depend on government for
their existence or occupation and political power.
And now you know why Barack Obama insisted again and again that 95% of
Americans will not see any tax increase under his tax plan. I do not see how the
federal government can continue to spend money with a tax increase only on the
top 5% of the population.
What gave the margin of victory for Obama is not youth vote or Black vote or
White vote or Hispanic vote, but votes from those working hard and paying a lot
in taxes and were lead to believe that they are going to be left alone by the
new President who is going to be a friend of those making under $250,000 yearly.
Soon a lot of Americans making more than $50,000 a year or more are going to
have a rude awakening and realize what IDENTITY THEFT really can do not only to
their money but also to their mind.
The incoming President needs our prayers, our support and our e-mails,
letters and phone calls when he is right and when he is wrong. We cannot count
on The New York Times, NBC, Time or Newsweek which are vanishing American
businesses and all they have in mind is their own profit and not the welfare
and well-being of Americans.
